Nick Jonas Opens About An Awkward Ceremony During His Wedding With Wifey Priyanka Chopra; Says, ‘It's Surprisingly Difficult’
Over the years, American singer Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra have built a very successful life together. They have been each others’ pillars of support through their personal and professional life. Ever since they tied the knot, the couple has been very vocal about the love and respect they have for their partner. Now, Nick has opened up about the time he married Priyanka and recalled an awkward wedding ceremony that he enjoyed doing. 

During an interview with the People magazine, he revealed how some of the Indian wedding traditions came as a cultural shock to him and his family. Speaking about the tradition and calling it a game, he explained how the bride and groom were “lifted on the shoulders of their family members.” The couple was encouraged to put garland on each other without letting the other put the garland first. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, the 30-year-old added, “it's surprisingly difficult, especially when you have someone as competitive as me and Pri. But whoever is the one to put it on first, that side of the family is the more dominant.” He explained how it was initially uncomfortable for him as he is unfamiliar with Indian weddings, however it never stopped him from going ahead with it. For the unversed, Priyanka and Nick got hitched in 2018 at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace in lavish ceremonies after dating for a couple of years. They welcomed their first daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas in 2022 via surrogacy. The proud parents are often seen taking to social media to share glimpses of their daughter.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has an exciting slate of upcoming projects. She was last seen in the Russo brothers' spy thriller Citadel, co-starring Richard Madden and Love Again. She has Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in the pipeline.
